Signal, Smoke & Sound: The Other Side of the Dashboard

Some people shut the laptop and unplug. I build something instead.

Barbecue as Blueprint I didn’t grow up in Texas, but I learned to speak fluent brisket. My obsession with Texas-style BBQ started with fire, steel, and smoke—and turned into a full-blown discipline. From tuning airflow on an offset smoker to dialing in spice ratios for ribs, it’s a culinary experiment rooted in patience, precision, and process. These aren’t just meals. They’re strategic builds with wood and heat as variables.

Sound as Structure Music isn’t just background for me. It’s heritage, circuitry, and obsession. Raised on Puerto Rican rhythms and raised again by guitar amps, I don’t just play—I build. Pedals. Boards. Tone circuits. My weekend soldering sessions look a lot like my weekday data flows: custom, gritty, and made to push signal through noise.

Capturing the Unscripted Photography keeps me honest. When I travel with my wife and kids, I bring the camera—not to pose, but to preserve. From the side streets of Mexico City to the shoreline in Portugal, I document real moments that slip past the algorithm. The same instinct that spots anomalies in a rent roll helps me find what matters through a lens: unfiltered truth, well-framed.

Curiosity Over Comfort Whether it’s hacking together automation scripts or restoring something vintage, my hobbies are all about experimentation. They sharpen my eye, reset my brain, and bring new tools into the fold—not just for fun, but because I believe the way you do anything is the way you do everything.

This is my off-the-clock work. Still strategic. Still loud. Still mine.
